Here in the USA when a home owner does not pay their property taxes an investor like you and I, can come in and either pay the property taxes for the home own or buy the property for as little as the outstanding back taxes.
Half the states here in the USA are Tax Lien states. That means we can pay the property taxes for the home owner and then they have to pay us back an interest rate of 8% to 24% on our money. And the best part of all is that if they don’t pay us back we get the house for the amount we invested in purchasing the tax lien.
The other half of the USA does what’s called a Tax Deed sale where you can show up at a county auction and buy the property for the as little as the back taxes owed.
